Guanze He
Postdoctoral Research Associate
Guanze He is a postdoctoral researcher specialising in using electron microscopes to characterise irradiation induced defects in Zirconium alloys. Guanze started his PhD study in radiation damage and its impact on corrosion in Zirconium alloys at University of Oxford in 2016. After completion in 2020, he became a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Materials, University of Oxford to investigate the irradiation damage in stainless steels using EELS (Electron energy loss spectrum). He then joined the Solid Mechanics Engineering group at the Department of Engineering, University of Oxford to carry out research on using synchrotron X-ray based techniques to study defects in fusion materials from 2021 to 2022. Guanze joined the MIDAS project in 2023 to study the defects evolution and its link to the change of mechanical properties in radiation damaged Zirconium alloys
